The Indian steel rim producer Steel Strips Wheels Ltd (
SSWL) has announced that it registered net sales of INR 926 million ($17.05 million) in March, up 5.12 percent compared to the corresponding month of 2012.
In terms of units sold, in March
SSWL sold 917,000 steel wheel rims, slightly increasing by 0.5 percent compared to 913,000 wheel rims sold in the same month of 2012, while the company's wheel rim exports increased to 150,133, up 36.41 percent year on year.
SSWL stated that the ongoing change in product mix may lead to a slight drop in sales in April. The company expects steel wheel rim sales of 832,000 in April.
