Spanish mill Celsa to double production by 2005

According to the recent market news, Spanish mill Celsa aims to double its production to 7 million tons by 2005 through recent acquisitions of Huta Ostrowiec in Poland and former ASW mill in Cardiff, UK and expansion of its mill Castellbisbal in Barcelona, Spain. The officials of Celsa express that with the take-overs, the company expects to report €2.7 million of turnover, €1.7 billion of consolidated sales and 3.5 million tons of production, hence the company will become the second largest longs producer in Europe.
