South Korea’s steel pipe output down 13.5 percent in June from May

In June this year South Korea's steel pipe output totaled 393,835 mt, down 13.5 percent month on month and down nine percent year on year, according to the data released by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA).

Sales of South Korean steel pipes in June amounted to 327,923 mt, decreasing by 23.5 percent month on month and down 21.5 percent year on year. Domestic sales in June fell 26.4 percent month on month to 222,472 mt, while exports totaled 105,351 mt, down 22.1 percent month on month.

In the first six months of the current year, output and sales of South Korean steel pipes reached 2,522,198 mt and 2,507,837 mt respectively, up 1.1 percent and 1.7 percent year on year.
