Songding Steel starts production at No. 1 high speed wire rod line

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Songding Steel has commenced production operations at its No. 1 high-speed wire rod production line, which has a designed annual capacity of 350,000 mt. The construction of the new line started on August 11, 2009 and lasted for nearly five and a half months.

Meanwhile, the construction of the company's No. 2 high speed wire rod line, with a planned annual capacity of 450,000 mt, is still continuing. This second line is expected to be put into production in March this year.
