Slovakia Steel Mills to construct a new facility

Slovakia Steel Mills has announced its plans to invest SKK 5.4 billion (€179.2 million) in the construction of a new steel mill at Strazske Industrial Park in eastern Slovakia.

The new plant, which will produce wire rod and steel bar, is planned to be completed in the first half of 2010, while production is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2010.

The new mill will create 300 new jobs directly and 250 new jobs indirectly.
