Shougang’s finished steel output totals 1.618 million mt in Jan-Feb

On March 19, Beijing-based Chinese steel producer Shougang Group announced that in the January-February period of this year it produced 1.618 million mt of finished steel, 93,000 mt higher than its production target for the given period. In particular, in January-February Shougang Group’s high value-added finished steel product output totaled 437,000 mt, exceeding the production target for the period by 45,000 mt.
 
The group’s finished steel output in the first two months this year was down 1.305 percent compared to the 1.6394 million mt recorded for the same period last year.
