Shougang Group issues April output figures for high speed wire rod mill

Chinese steelmaker Shougang Group has issued output figures for its high speed wire rod mill for the month of April. In the month in question, the total finished steel output of the producer's high speed wire rod mill reached 218, 400 mt, exceeding the monthly target by 8,402 mt, while the output of high value-added products amounted to 122, 600 mt or 56.15 percent of the total monthly output. In April the percentage of finished steel output which met all required standards was 97.87 percent, up 0.11 percentage points month on month, while the corresponding percentages for wire rod and bar outputs were 97.98 percent and 97.13 percent respectively.
