Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shengyang Metal Technology Co. has commissioned its 1,700 mm stainless steel continuous hot rolling project, producing its first stainless steel hot rolled coil, as announced by China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) on June 25. The project was designed by MCC subsidiary MCC Beris Engineering and Research Corporation.
The new production facility has an annual output capacity of 2 million mt, including one million mt of 200 and 300 series hot rolled stainless steel coil and one million mt of hot rolled common carbon steel coil.
