On August 26, Guangdong Province-based Shaoguan Steel announced its ex-factory prices for medium plate. The details are as follows,
The prices of common carbon plate and low alloy plate have declined by RMB 250/mt ($36/mt) in all regions, and so Q235 14-20 mm common carbon plate is now at RMB 6,400/mt ($936/mt) in Guangzhou.
The producer's price of shipbuilding plate is down by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt). As a result, in Guangzhou CCSA 14-20 mm now costs RMB 7,300/mt ($1,067/mt).
The prices of container plate, boiler plate and bridge plate have not changed.
Effective as of August 26, all the above prices include tax (17 percent VAT) and there is a discount increase from RMB 100/mt ($15/mt) to RMB 200/mt ($29/mt) based on the price list for the previous period.
