Shanxi Province closes 550,000 mt of iron-making capacities in Jan-Sept

According to the statistics released by the Economic and Information Commission of China’s Shanxi Province, in the January-September period of this year the province shut down 550,000 mt of annual iron-making capacities and eliminated or dismantled 290,000 mt of such capacities.
 
Meanwhile, in the given period Shanxi Province shut down 8.88 million mt and eliminated 3.17 million mt of annual production capacities in the local coke sector.
 
In the first nine months of this year, the local ferroalloy sector saw the closure of 90,000 mt and the elimination of 30,000 mt of annual production capacities.
