Shanxi coking industry to consist of 60 large scale enterprises by 2015

As stated by an official of the environmental protection department of the eastern Chinese province of Shanxi on March 15, Shanxi Province is planning to keep its number of coking companies to within 150 and its total capacity under 140 million mt in the 2010-2011 period. Meanwhile, the province is aiming to reduce the number of local coking companies further via mergers to just 60 large scale enterprises by 2015 and to limit total annual capacity to 120 million mt by the same year.
