Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shagang Group has announced that it inked a global supplier framework agreement in early July with Bekaert, a world market and technology leader in steel wire transformation and coatings.
According the agreement, Shagang Group will cooperate with Bekaert, providing its best product quality, most preferential trade policies and best service.
Shagang Group initially established a business relationship with Bekaert in 2002, receiving support from Bekaert in research and development and product quality upgrades. In the current year, Bekaert’s average monthly purchases from Shagang Group amounted to around 40,000 mt, indicating significant increases compared to the same period of last year.
