The Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that German company LÄPPLE Formenbau GmbH (LÄPPLE) has confirmed its status of reliable supplier.

Following the confirmation, LÄPPLE plans to award Severstal with an order for supply of cold rolled and galvanized steel to be used for production of automobile components for Mercedes, Volkswagen, BMW and Porsche.

In January 2008, Severstal supplied the trial batch of galvanized steel manufactured at its subsidiary Severgal to LÄPPLE.
