Severstal reports rise in production

As reported by Alexander Pogozjev, Severstal's production director, the company's dispatch of finished steel products rose 9.1 percent year on year in January-May of 2006. During the given period, the enterprise's outputs of pig iron and crude steel rose 15.6 percent and 18.6 percent respectively, mainly due to increased capacities of newly repaired blast furnaces at the mill.
