Second group and additional exemptions by USTR

Product exemptions under the S201 safeguard mesaures that were imposed in the form of tariffs of upto 30% by the Bush administration in March 2002 continue to be announced. Further to the first group of product exepmtions published on June 5, 2002 and the additional list published on June 7, 2002, the US Trade Representative Office published the second list of product exemptions on June 14, 2002. This second group of exemptions covers 134 products varying from hot rolled and cold rolled products to plates, corrosion resistants and tin mill products. In addition to the above, the US Trade Representative's Office published a list of additional products to be excluded from the Section 201 Safeguard measures.
