In the week from October 24 to October 30, on the Orbis Steel Index the scrap indexes continued to move on an upward trend, while the Turkish rebar index maintained its upward trend and the Turkish flat rolled indexes continued to increase.
As per the Orbis Steel Index data, the index movements in the week from October 24 to October 30 as per product are as follows:
Turkish Scrap Index continued to increase, rising by 3.83 percent week on week to 93.28.
US (East Coast) HMS I/II Scrap Export Index maintained its upward movement. The index value increased by 1.61 percent to 103.29 compared to the previous week.
Turkish Rebar Index increased by 2.69 percent week on week to 93.93.
Turkish HRC Index went up by 4.27 percent to 74.05 compared to the previous week.
Black Sea HRC Export Index continued to increase, with the index value rising by 3.28 percent week on week to 81.82.
Turkish HDG Index increased by 1.51 percent week on week to 84.54.
Turkish CRC Index continued to move upwards. The index value rose by 1.7 percent to 82.19 compared to the previous week.

Turkish Scrap Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of domestic ferrous scrap purchased weekly by Turkish steel mills, and imported HMS 80/20 CFR Turkey.
Turkish Rebar Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality deformed steel reinforcing bars produced and sold by Turkish mills and subsequently merchants, both in the domestic market on ex-warehouse basis and for export on FOB Turkey basis.
Turkish HRC Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality HRC produced or imported, and then sold by Turkish mills on ex-warehouse basis.
