In the week from June 25 to July 1, on the Orbis Steel Index the scrap indexes continued to increase, the Turkish rebar index went up, while the Turkish flat rolled indexes continued to show upward movement.
As per the Orbis Steel Index data, the index movements in the week from June 25 to July 1 as per product are as follows:
Turkish Scrap Index continued to increase, with the index value rising 1.53 percent to 141.06 compared to the previous week.
US (East Coast) HMS I/II Scrap Export Index maintained its upward movement. The index value went up by 0.6 percent week on week to 156.94.
Turkish Rebar Index went up by 0.45 percent to 132.13 compared to the previous week.
Turkish HRC Index continued to move upwards, with the index value rising by 1.83 percent week on week to 98.66.
Black Sea HRC Export Index increased by 1.8 percent from the previous week to 107.71.
Turkish HDG Index rose by 1.29 percent to 99.05 compared to the previous week.
Turkish CRC Index maintained its upward movement, with the index value increasing by 1.4 percent week on week to 99.32.

Turkish Scrap Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of domestic ferrous scrap purchased weekly by Turkish steel mills, and imported HMS 80/20 CFR Turkey.
Turkish Rebar Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality deformed steel reinforcing bars produced and sold by Turkish mills and subsequently merchants, both in the domestic market on ex-warehouse basis and for export on FOB Turkey basis.
Turkish HRC Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality HRC produced or imported, and then sold by Turkish mills on ex-warehouse basis.
