Saudi-based steel producer Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed) has achieved a new steel production record at its Jubail works, supported by advisory services aimed at optimizing electric arc furnace and casting operation, according to Italian plantmaker Danieli Technologies.
According to Danieli’s Service unit, the producer recorded a monthly billet output of 103,227 mt in October 2025 at its Jubail plant, marking the highest level ever achieved at the facility. The new figure surpassed the previous record of 101,304 mt registered in July 2025.
In addition, the steelmaker reached an annual production level of 1,110,081 mt by December 2025, setting a new yearly benchmark for the site.
Record steel production aided by Danieli
The milestone was achieved with the support of Danieli Service, which acted as the technology and service provider, delivering advisory services for high-carbon steel production and processing. According to the plantmaker, these services covered operations at the Danieli-supplied continuous casting machine, electric arc furnace and rod mill.
Production facilities and capacity
The electric arc furnace and rod mill installed by Danieli and commissioned in 2015 are designed with annual capacities of 1.1 million mt and 0.5 million mt, respectively. These facilities produce billets with a 150 mm × 150 mm section and enable the manufacturing of a wide range of special steel grades.
