Saudi Al-Tuwairqi to establish steel mill in Pakistan

Saudi Arabia's Al-Tuwairqi group of companies announced plans to build a steel plant in Karachi, Pakistan. The $200-million steel mill will be designed to have an annual steel production capacity of 1 million tons. Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz commented that the region where the mill will be built, Bin Qasim, is the most competitive region in the country in terms of investments and facilities. He stressed that the country's demand for steel is rising.
