S. Korea, Mexico intensify steel cooperation

South Korea and Mexico have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the steel sector. The Korea Iron and Steel Association (KISA) disclosed that it signed MoU with Mexico last week, when KISA delegation visited the South American country. South Korea's exports of steel sheets for cars to Mexico amounted to $143 million last year, KISA said. South Korea also imported $12 million worth of slabs from Mexico, KISA added.
