Russian imports of stainless steel products in February this year increased by 40.2 percent month on month to 33,587 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.
Meanwhile, in the January-February period, Russia’s imports of stainless steel products totaled 57,544 mt, increasing by 64.4 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
In particular, in the January-February period Russia’s flat rolled stainless steel imports increased by 62.5 percent, while its stainless steel seamless pipe imports increased by 38.9 percent, electric welded stainless steel pipe imports went up by 102.3 percent and stainless steel pipe fittings imports rose by 27.1 percent, all year on year.
