According to the data issued by Russia's Ministry of Energy, in the January-September period of the current year Russia’s coal exports increased by 13.3 percent year on year to 138.44 million mt. In September alone, Russian coal exports amounted to 15.25 million mt, up 7.6 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the first nine months Russia’s coal output rose by 6.33 percent year on year to 299.19 million mt, while in June alone the country’s coal production went up by 8.86 percent year on year to 34.60 million mt.
