Russian steel exports exemption possible

According to a recent Agence France-Presse report, Russia may be excluded from some tariffs designed to protect the US steel industry. The report is based US Deputy Commerce Secretary William Lash suggesting that Russia's raw steel exports may be excluded from the tariffs. The agency also reported that, the US administration will probably announce further exemptions from the tariffs by July 3, 2002.
