Russia ups domestic scrap supplies in H1

According to the operational data, during the first half of 2007 scrap supplies to the Russian domestic market increased to 7.7 million metric tons - the record for the first half-year figures of the last four years.

The increase in the domestic supplies was achieved at the expense of export deliveries rather than through a considerable increase in collection levels.
