Russia prolongs suspension of import duty on scrap and certain rolled products

The Russian government has decided to prolong the suspension of import duty on scrap and certain rolled products by another nine months. The decision No. 809 became effective on October 14, 2009.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, last year, by its decision No. 813 dated November 7, 2008, the Russian government canceled the import duty on scrap and certain rolled products for a period of nine months.

The zero percent duty impacts the products under the following HS Codes: 7204 10 000 0, 7204 21 100 0, 7204 21 900 0, 7204 29 000 0, 7204 30 000 0, 7204 41 100 0, 7204 41 910 0, 7204 41 990 0, 7204 49 100 0, 7204 49 300 0, 7204 49 900 0, 7204 50 000 0, 7208 51 910 0, 7210 49 000 1, and 7225 40 300 9.
