Russia issues Jan-Nov production results

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, in the first eleven months of 2007 the country registered a 1.3 percent rise in coal mining output and a 2.6 percent rise in iron ore mining output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 283 million and 95.8 million.

In addition, during the same period Russia produced 30.9 million metric tons of coke - up 3.7 percent, 47.1 million metric tons of pig iron - down 2.7 percent, 54.4 million metric tons of finished steel products - up 2.6 percent, and eight million metric tons of steel pipes - up 12 percent, all compared to the corresponding period of last year.
