Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shiheng Special Steel Co. has announced that its round bar used in shipbuilding has been approved by the Qingdao Branch of the China Classification Society (CCS). The products include steel grades of CM490 and CM690 in a diameter range of 14-60 mm.
Development of production of CM490 round bar by Shiheng Special Steel in 2010 has helped boost the growth prospects of the steel producer.
