Hot run tests on phase two of the high-speed wire rod production project of Hebei Province-based Chinese steel company Rockcheck Steel Group Co., Ltd (Rockcheck Steel) have been successfully completed. Accordingly, the two phases of the project have now been fully completed.
In 2007, Rockcheck Steel launched its high-speed wire rod production project with a designed annual output capacity of 1.2 million mt, using the most advanced technology provided by US-based Morgan Construction Company. The designed production speed is 120 m/s. The first production line was completed in August 2008, constructed by China First Metallurgical Group. Construction of the second production line, also by the same company, commenced in October 2009.
