Rautaruukki to start negotiations for layoffs in corporate functions

Finnish steelmaker Rautaruukki has announced that the company is to start employer-employee negotiations regarding temporary layoffs in corporate functions in Finland due to weak market conditions.

Accordingly, possible layoffs concern salaried and senior salaried employees working in corporate functions. The total number of employees affected is around 410.

The company plans to implement the layoffs as soon as possible, within the current year at the latest. The duration of the layoffs will become clear as the negotiations progress.
