Finnish steelmaker Rautaruukki has announced its intention to invest €12 million in centralizing and reorganizing its Finland-based Naantali and Järvenpää service centers as well as its Sweden-based Halmstad service center.
According to the project, the Naantali service center is to focus on the delivery of high-strength and color coated steels in particular, the Järvenpää service center is to concentrate on stainless steel and aluminium products, while the Halmstad service center in Sweden will increase its own cutting of carbon steels.
By centralizing its steel service centre operations and reorganizing the division of work between the units, Rautaruukki is to further improve delivery accuracy, cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Ruukki has steel service centers in Finland, Sweden, Poland and Russia, as well as a number of product stocks across Europe.
