On August 19, Hebei Province-based Puyang Steel announced its ex-factory prices for medium plate. The details are as follows;
The price of common carbon plate has been reduced by RMB 600/mt ($87/mt), and so Q235A 16-25 mm material now costs RMB 6,100/mt ($890/mt).
Low alloy plate has decreased in price by RMB 600/mt ($87/mt). After the adjustment, the price of Q345 16-25 mm material is RMB 6,300 ($920/mt).
The price of shipbuilding plate has not changed, and so the price of CCSB 16-25 mm is at RMB 7,650/mt ($1,117/mt).
The above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of August 19.
