Prosperous future foreseen for Guangzhou Steel’s Zhanjiang base

On February 3, Zhu Xiaodan, vice governor of the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, led a delegation of officials to inspect the steel base construction site located in Zhanjiang city to which local steelmaker Guangzhou Iron and Steel is relocating.
 
Mr. Zhu said the provincial government will continue to implement the national policy to eliminate backward steel output capacities, while restructuring the steel industry in the province.
 
The provincial vice governor indicated the Zhanjiang steel base was critical to industrial development in Guangdong Province. He expected a prosperous future for the Zhanjiang steel production base.
