Price hike from Corus Engineering Steels for Q4

According to industry reports Corus Engineering Steel (CES) which is headquartered in the UK and a unit of the Anglo-Dutch steel producer, is going to raise prices of its all kind of carbon and alloy products by an average of €20 ($21.7) per ton for the last quarter to be valid from September 28 onwards. It is expected that price increases will also continue in 2004 and be reflected to annual contracts as good demand for engineering steels is forecasted to have an upward trend throughout next year as well as the fourth quarter. Added to that increased energy and feedstock costs are believed to further rise in the forthcoming months.
