Preliminary results of AD review on line pipe from Korea amended

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the US Department of Commerce (DOC), on October 6, 2004 published preliminary results of antidumping investigation on circular welded carbon quality steel line pipe (LP) imported from Korea. The duty rates on Korean producers in the preliminary results were ranging between 1.19-6.49%. The period of review was January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003. DOC has decided to amend the rates determined for the Korean producers/exporters of subject merchandise due to a ministerial error in margin calculation. Accordingly, the amended preliminary results of the subject investigation are as follows:

Producer/exporter Margin

Hyundai Hysco...........................1.31% de minimis
SeAH Steel Corp.........................1.19%
All others..............................0.00%
