Preliminary results of AD review on certain flat products from Korea
On September 30, 2003 the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an administrative review on the antidumping duties of certain corrosion resistant carbon steel flat products imported from Korea upon the request of International Steel Group (ISG). The review covers three manufacturers/exporters of the subject merchandise: Union Steel Manufacturing (Union), Pohang Iron & Steel Industries (POSCO) and Dongbu Steel Corporation (Dongbu). In response to a request from Hyundai Hysco (HYSCO), DOC also initiated a new-shipper review on imports of subject product from HYSCO on October 3, 2003. The period of review for both antidumping duties and new-shipper review was August 1, 2002 through July 31, 2003 According to the results of the preliminary review, DOC has determined that during the period of review, Union, POSCO, Dongbu and HYSCO did not make sales of the subject merchandise at less than normal value (NV). This decision by DOC is effective as of September 7, 2004. Interested parties are invited to submit their comments on these preliminary results. As a result of these reviews, DOC preliminarily determined that the following weighted-average dumping margins exist:Producer/Manufacturer Weighted-Average Margin Dongbu ......................0.27% (De Minimis) Union........................0.27% (De Minimis) POSCO........................0.47% (De Minimis) HYSCO........................0.00% (De Minimis)
