Phu My Steel Factory comes on stream

Vietnamese steelmaker Southern Steel Corporation (SSC) yesterday commenced operations of its new Phu My Steel Factory, which has been designed to have an annual steel ingot capacity of 500,000 tons and laminate steel capacity of 400,000 tons. The plant has been completed with an investment of $135 million. Together with Phu My Steel Factory, SSC's total capacity of steel ingot will increase to 800,000 tons and that of laminate steel to 1 million tons per annum.
