Peruvian iron ore production surges up 94.7 percent in November

Peruvian iron ore production in November spiked 94.7 percent, year-on-year, to 1.10 million mt, the nation’s mines and energy ministry, Minem, said.

According to government data, Peruvian iron ore output came mostly from Shougang Hierro Peru, which produced 1.06 million mt of the commodity in November. Shougang Hierro Peru is the nation’s key iron ore producer.

Minem said accumulated iron ore output in the January-November period reached 8.94 million mt, 3.6 percent up, year-on-year.
