Peruvian iron ore production declines in November

Peruvian iron ore production in November fell 36.8 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the nation’s ministry of mines and energy, Minem.

According to government data, Peruvian iron ore output in November reached 569,214 mt, down from 901,253 mt in the same month of the year prior.

Peru’s key iron ore producers are Shougang Hierro Peru, which accounts for most of the commodity’s output, and Minera Shouxin Peru.

According to Minem, in the accumulated period of January to November, local iron ore production was 8.6 million mt, 8.6 percent up, year-on-year.
