Sichuan Province-based Panzhihua New Steel & Vanadium Company Limited released its second quarter ex-factory prices for flat products on March 10, 2008. The details are as follows:
1. The price of HR has increased RMB 700/mt ($99/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 3.0 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,630/mt ($652/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is at RMB 4,480/mt ($631/mt).
2. The price of CR has risen by RMB 1,050/mt ($148/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST12 CRC is at RMB 5,500/mt ($775/mt).
3. The HDG price has gone up by RMB 1,000/mt ($141/mt). The new price of 1.0 mm thick JY [140-180g/m2] HDG is at RMB 6,020/mt ($848/mt).
4. The price of pickled steel coil has increased RMB 700/mt ($99/mt). As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm thick SPHC pickled steel coil is at RMB 5,030/mt ($708/mt).
The above prices exclude taxes and are effective as of April 1, 2008.
