Outokumpu announces May surcharges

Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu announced alloy surcharges for its stainless steel grades effective for May 2006. In line with the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 974 per ton on its 304 series for May 2006 deliveries. The surcharge on 304 series for April 2006 is Euro 948 per ton. On the other hand, alloy surcharge on 316 series will be Euro 2,172 per ton, up Euro 37 against April surcharge, while 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 182 per ton, up Euro 9 against April surcharge.
