Outokumpu announces July surcharges

Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu announced alloy surcharges for its stainless steel grades effective for July 2006. In line with the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 1,274 per ton on its 304 series for July 2006 deliveries. The surcharge on 304 series for June 2006 is Euro 1,080 per ton. On the other hand, alloy surcharge on 316 series will be Euro 2,531 per ton, up Euro 274 against June surcharge, while 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 202 per ton, up Euro 6 against June surcharge.
