Operations suspended at several mines in Shandong after accident

After an accident on July 10 at Weifang, Shandong Province, China-based Changyi Zhengdong Mining Co., the Security Supervision Office of Shandong Province has decided to inspect all the non-coal underground mines in the province.
 
Accordingly, three large-sized non-coal mining enterprises in Shandong Province - Humon Smelting Co., Shandong Jinling Mining Co. and Shandong Gold Mining Co. - have received a notice requiring the suspension of production of all mines pending inspection by the Security Supervision Office.
 
Inspections will be carried out from July 12 to July 18. Only mines approved by the Security Supervision Office will be able to resume production
