The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries slowed to 2.2 percent in October this year, compared to 2.3 percent in the previous month, according to the latest figures.
Excluding food and energy, annual inflation slightly increased to 1.9 percent in October, from 1.8 percent in September.
Compared with September, annual inflation in October increased to 1.1 percent in France from 1.0 percent and remained stable in UK at 3.0 percent. In October as compared with September, annual inflation decreased to 0.2 percent in Japan from 0.7 percent, moved down to 1.4 percent in Canada from 1.6 percent, fell to 1.6 percent in Germany from 1.8 percent, decreased to 2.0 percent in the US from 2.2 percent and narrowed to 1.0 percent in Italy from 1.1 percent.
