Nucor to form jv with Ambassador Steel Corp

According to the statement released by Nucor Corp, the company has signed an agreement with Ambassador Steel Corp to form a joint venture rebar mill called Nufab Rebar LLC. Nucor is the largest producer of rebar in the US and Ambassador Steel is the largest independent rebar fabricator in the US. This joint venture will provide Nucor the opportunity to expand its rebar business. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Nucor Corp and Harris Steel formed a rebar joint venture in the US last year. With these joint ventures, Nucor will expand its rebar business significantly.
