Nucor Steel announces surcharge and new price increase

According to an announcement by Nucor Steel Kankakee, based in Illinois, price increase of $30/net ton, to be effective as of April 12, is recalled and a new price increase of $55/net ton for shipments May 1 onwards is declared. This hike will cover all merchant bars, structural and reinforcing bars. Surcharge for raw materials will be $68/net ton for shipments to be effected from May 1, until then current $120/net ton surcharge will be applied on shipments within this month.
