Nucor Bar announces October price increase

Nucor Bar Corp. has announced their October price increase for merchant bars and rebars. Nucor confirmed to SteelOrbis that the raw materials surcharge on all October bar order will increase $40 per net ton ($44.09 per metric ton). Nucor will also decrease their base price $20/nt ($22.05/mt). Therefore the effective price increase to customers will be $20/nt ($22.05/mt).
