Nucor announces January raw materials surcharge

Nucor Sheet Mill Group announced last week that its January raw materials surcharge will be $110/net ton ($5.50 cwt. or $121.25/metric ton). This surcharge will be reflected on all receipts with an order date from January 7, 2006 to January 28, 2006. December's RMS is $115/nt ($5.75 cwt. or $126.77/mt). Nucor is not adjusting their base price, therefore the total price decrease effective to customers will be $5/nt.
