On September 14, Vancouver, Washington, US-based welded steel pipe producer Northwest Pipe Company (Northwest Pipe) announced that it has received a commitment from COP Construction, LLC that it will order approximately 25,000 linear feet of 60" steel water pipe and fittings for the Spanish Fork Pipeline-Springville Reach project, owned by the Central Utah Water Conservancy District.
According to a statement released by the pipe maker, the value of the pipe order is approximately $12 million. The pipe will be manufactured at the Adelanto California facility of Northwest Pipe Company and delivery is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2009.
The Central Utah Project (CUP), part of the Central Utah Project Completion Act (CUPCA), is the largest water resource development program ever undertaken in Utah.
