NMDC completes acquisition of Legacy Iron Ore stake

Indian state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has completed the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Australia-based mineral exploration company Legacy Iron Ore for a consideration of A$18.89 million. 

NMDC stated that it is committed to developing Legacy's Mt. Bevan iron ore project in Western Australia, as it seeks to acquire mineral assets in Australia within the scope of expanding its resources base worldwide.
