Nine Shanxi companies in Chinese Top 500

In the new list of the Chinese Top 500 companies based on revenues for 2010, nine companies from Shanxi Province are included, down two compared to the list issued in the previous year.
 
Of these nine companies, Taiyuan Steel Group takes the lead with its total annual revenue of RMB 116.5 billion ($18.2 billion) in 2010. This marks the sixth consecutive year in which Taiyuan Steel has posted the biggest revenue of all companies in Shanxi Province.
